Saturday morning we will have Torah Study beginning at 10:00 during which we will have a dialogue with Rabbi Charlie on the subject of  the four children from the Seder.  You might remember the four children in the Haggadah: the wise, the wicked, the simple, and the one who doesn't know how to ask.  But did you know that they are all based in the Torah?  We will discuss these children, where they came from and what they teach us followed by services. Come join us--last week we had a lively discussion followed by a Torah service. We will share a nosh with the Rabbi after services.

Thanks to Rabbi Charlie and Adena for donating the new changing tables in the CBI restrooms!

Adult Ed
Adult Hebrew: Monday, January 29  7 p.m.

Sunday morning at 9:45 - Jewish Death and Mourning Practices Part 1: Death, Burial, and the Funeral.  A great many customs have developed around how to care for the dead and how to care for those who are mourning.  Some of them are quite ancient and some are more recent, but as a whole, these Jewish practices and rituals provide continuing honor to the dead and steady, consistent comfort for the mourner.  We will study and discuss the customs themselves as well as their spiritual and emotional impact.  Please join us.

Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm - Two Religions, One Family: An Interfaith Discussion Group.  In our monthly discussion, we address some of the unique issues that can arise in interfaith families.  Discussion topics are set by the group, so bring your questions and your interests.  I hope to see you there!
