Chai Hopes for CBI's FUTURE

Every gift is a spark of light — together, they kindle the flame that keeps our community shining.

CHAI Hopes, CBI's annual fundraiser, enables many of our beloved programs like our Cellist prelude for Kol Nidre, our Purim spiel, and our annual Second Night Passover Seder. We rely on your support to continue the success of CBI programming.

In Jewish life, light is one of our most powerful symbols. From the Ner Tamid (Eternal Light), to the candles kindled for Shabbat and festivals, to the sparks of holiness our sages teach are hidden within all creation — light represents God’s presence, hope, and renewal. Our Chai Hopes donor levels reflect this sacred imagery, reminding us that each gift, no matter the size, shines with spiritual meaning.

  • Ner Tamid ($1,500+) Just as the Eternal Light never goes out, these most generous gifts provide enduring strength and vision for our congregation.

  • Candle of Hope ($750–1,499) A candle is small but powerful, dispelling darkness with the smallest flame. These donors bring the light of hope into our community’s future.

  • Flame of Renewal ($300–749) Fire renews, warms, and inspires. These gifts help rekindle our spirit as we begin the new year together.

  • Spark of Kindness (up to $299) Every spark matters. These contributions, each an act of generosity, together create a great fire of compassion and holiness in our synagogue.

Donations which exceed program costs are added to the CBI general fund, so your support also strengthens CBI's day-to-day operations. THANK YOU to all our past, current and future donors!
