8:00 PM - 10:00 PMCongregation Beth Israel - SanctuaryTisha B'Av is the saddest day of the Jewish year as we commemorate the loss of the two Temples that stood in Jerusalem, as well as a number of other tragedies that befell the Jewish people on this day. Tisha B'Av is a moving, communal experience that helps us honor the memory of our past. We will offer a brief study into this topic.

Following our study we will move into the Tisha B'Av Service and the reading of Lamentations. There will not be an oneg since Tisha B'Av is a complete fast day similar to Yom Kippur. The synagogue will be darkened to help set the tone, it may be helpful to bring a flashlight.
