Qualifications:
-
Very strong familiarity with Judaica and Jewish culture, Hebrew and holidays and traditions and has a desire to be an educator in a Jewish environment.

Bachelors degree in education or equivalent work experience.
-
Experience in creating and executing teaching programming and experience working directly with students in PreK – 9th grade.

Adequate experience in supervising and motivating, and/or oversight of teachers or volunteers in an education environment.
-
Ideal candidate has strengths in creativity, attention to detail, problem solving, student engagement, enthusiasm, multi-tasking, and a positive attitude.

Experience in working with large constituencies- for example clergy, committees, members and administration.

Demonstrated strong ability in organization skills, documentation, and process and procedure.

Experience in managing budgets and reporting on budgets in a work environment.

Experience being a servant leader, roll up the sleeves, work-in-the-weeds working manager. This role is expected to spend time in the classroom environment.

Ability to be on site at specific time periods at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, as dictated by school schedule and programming.

Stellar abilities in written and oral communication skills with broad groups including listening, presenting in large groups, and working through difficult conversations leveraging mediation, negotiation, and persuasion.

Responsibilities:
-
Develop, evolve, adapt and document a calendar, curriculum, lesson plans and classroom materials for Judaica, Yotair Ivrit, and Hebrew program that engages students and creates a fun, Jewish environment.

Responsible for organization, executing and documenting special educational programs in coordination with Ed Committee and Rabbi – family shabbat’s, family education, and special Sunday school session that engages students and creates a fun, Jewish environment.

Responsible for the classrooms - cleanliness, coordination with the administration on cleaning crew, the organization of & setup of rooms, create & maintain bulletin boards, identifies needed supplies, owns filing cabinet in the board room that has supplemental supplies and extra books.

Responsible for day to day administration of the budget, ordering of curriculum materials and responsible for soliciting bids for special programming and works with education committee to apply for grants.

Serves as an active member of the education committee and responsible for monthly reports and ongoing communication with the Education committee.

Responsible for executing, coordinating and administering safety protocols and school policies established by CBI and the Education Committee.

Responsible for ongoing communication and relationship building with students and parents.

Responsible for managing, creating, coordinating volunteers, and implementing high holy days programming for students.

Responsible for getting volunteer teachers, subs list and teacher assignment, training teacher, support, and step in as a teacher if needed along with support from the education committee.

Assists with inbound new family orientation, tours, recruitment and answers questions for new families.
